We have stood alongside the families of Brunswick — repairing homes, training the next generation, and preparing neighborhoods to withstand whatever comes next. We believe a resilient community is a healthy, self-sufficient one, and we build toward that vision one household, one training, one project at a time.
Our Approach
We Cannot Do It Alone
Through strategic partnerships with national laboratories, regional agencies, and local grassroots organizations, we conduct home assessments, strengthen community resilience, distribute essential resources, and promote health and safety across Brunswick's most under-resourced neighborhoods. Our approach is holistic: we treat environmental health, housing quality, workforce readiness, and disaster preparedness as pieces of the same puzzle, not separate problems, because that's how our residents actually experience them.
That holistic approach shows up in four connected areas of work:
- Home & Property Services — handicap ramp construction and home hazard assessments (see Apply Today)
- Energy & Disaster Resilience — the S.T.A.N.D. Initiative and our ETIPP partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (see ETIPP-RGC)
- Youth Workforce Development — the Navigators of Change training and credentialing program for ages 13–24 (see Navigators of Change)
- Community & Environmental Projects — raised-bed gardens, environmental advocacy, and neighborhood partnerships (see Projects)
